Social Program of the 29th Cyprus-Camerino-Noordwijkerhout Trends in Drug Research Medicinal Chemistry EFMC Symposium to Kourion and Paphos Mosaics

On Wednesday October the 5th, a trip is planned to Paphos town, where the unique worldwide mosaics will be visited. Also the trip will cover visits in the ancient Greco-Roman theatre  of Courion, goddess of love Aphrodite’s place of birth Petra of Romios and Colossi Castle.
The Entrance Ticket to the Archaeological sites are complementary, offered by the Department of Antiquites of the Republic of Cyprus.
Learn about the Prehistoric Cyprus (the Palaeolithic, Neolithic, the Bronze and the Iron Age), the Ancient History of Cyprus (the Assyrians, the Persian, the Hellenistic, the Roman Period, the Christianization), Cyprus in the Middle Ages (the Byzantine period, the Arab conquest and the Byzantine reconquest, the Crusades -Lusignan and the Venetian period), the Ottoman Empire (the social history, the Greek independence movement) and the Modern History of Cyprus (Cyprus as a protectorate of the British Empire, the proposed Union with Greece, the independence, the Turkish Invasion in 1974, the post invasion and present days).
The fee to the Excursion is €60,00 per person, minus €16,00; the subsidy by the Cyprus Tourism Organization in order to promote and support the conference tourism in Cyprus. An addition as discount is offered due to the coverage of the entrance tickets to the archeological sites by the Department of Antiquites. The final fee to the excursion is €30. A 15% VAT is added to these values. This fee includs the bus, the guided tour and the entrance tickets to Colossi Castle, Courion Theatre and Paphos Mosaics.

On Tuesday October the 4th, the participants and accompanying persons will have the opportunity to visit the Vasa Winery and taste excellent wines from Cypriot varieties Xynistery and Maratheftiko and then enjoy the Gala Dinner at the picturesque mountainous village Vasa where the participants can enjoy the traditional foods, beverages and music of Cyprus.
Learn about Commandaria, the  the world's oldest named wine still in production, with the name Commandaria dating back to the crusades in the 12th century.
The fee to the Gala Dinner is €60,00 plus 15% VAT per person and includes given drinks and the bus ticket plus the tasting of three kind of wines in the winery.
